On May 13 members of the ABMSP Board of Directors met to validate, approve, and set the passing score for the first Limb Preservation and Salvage examination. There are 250 multiple choice questions on the exam and the number of correct responses needed to pass is 175. The examination was first administered June 4-18 and will be administered again in October. The ABMSP would like to thank Kenneth Rehm, DPM for his leadership in developing this new exam.

The American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry (ABMSP) has had all three of its certification credentials approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), thereby meeting the international standards for an accreditation program as set forth in ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024:2003.

ABMSP is the only podiatry accreditation program approved by ANSI and joins only 21 other organizations having met the rigorous standards, which included an extensive application process and a 2-day site visit to its headquarters by ANSI assessors.
